NBA Summer of Chaos β€” unbelievable but trueEnter the Chaos β†’

The NBA didn't just have an offseason. It had a full-blown summer of trades, ego battles, power moves and jaw-dropping roster changes that left fans wondering what the hell just happened.

Superstars changed teams. Front offices pushed their chips into the middle. Contenders decided that being pretty good wasn't good enough anymore.

And somehow, almost every major move seemed to produce the same reaction: No way that actually happened. But it did.

The East Just Got Interesting

The balance of power isn't what it was a few months ago. Teams that thought they knew exactly who stood between them and the Finals suddenly have some new problems to worry about. Established contenders aren't going anywhere quietly, either.

And Out West? Good Luck.

As if the Western Conference needed to get any tougher. Veteran stars are still chasing another ring. Younger superstars are coming for the throne. And Victor Wembanyama keeps adding things to his game that guys his size aren't supposed to be able to do. How exactly are you supposed to defend that? We're taking suggestions.

Somebody's Master Plan Is Going to Blow Up

Every general manager who made the blockbuster deal thinks he's a genius today. Every superstar who wanted another superstar beside him thinks the chemistry will work. Every fanbase has spent the summer convincing itself: This is our year.

They're not all going to be right. Some newly assembled contender is going to explode. Some supposed superteam is going to discover that basketballs don't come with enough touches for everybody. Some coach is going to spend January explaining why five talented guys still can't guard anybody.

And somewhere, a fanbase that expected nothing is going to suddenly realize: Holy crap. We might actually be good.

That's the NBA. The Summer of NBA Chaos didn't just rearrange the league. It rewired it, supercharged it and loaded up an NBA season that could be completely unpredictable.

Opening night is coming. The talking is almost over. And the chaos? It's just getting started.
