The Cincinnati Bengals live and die with Joe Burrow. When he's on the field, they are a legitimate threat to beat anybody. When he isn't, everything changes.

Burrow has already proven he can lead this team to the biggest stage. He took Cincinnati to a Super Bowl in just his second season and has delivered clutch performances against the NFL's elite. But the last few seasons have also been a reminder of how fragile a championship window can be when injuries keep getting in the way.

That is why the biggest question surrounding Cincinnati is also the simplest: can Burrow stay healthy long enough to unleash everything this offense has? Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins give him one of football's most dangerous receiving combinations. When Burrow has time and both receivers are rolling, the Bengals can stretch a defense vertically, win underneath and turn any possession into a touchdown drive.

The offense, though, cannot carry every problem by itself. Cincinnati needs better consistency around Burrow, particularly when games become physical and the margin for error disappears. Protection, injuries and defensive stops all matter. In a loaded AFC, a few bad weeks can turn a promising season into a fight just to stay alive.

There is pressure on the coaching staff, too. Zac Taylor has already taken the Bengals to a Super Bowl and deep into the playoffs, but expectations change when a franchise has a quarterback like Burrow. Slow starts are no longer harmless. Cincinnati has too much talent and too much invested in this roster to spend the first month of the season trying to find itself.

The good news is that Burrow has never lacked confidence. His game is built on toughness, accuracy and the belief that he can make the throw when everyone in the stadium knows the ball has to be in his hands. If he stays upright, Chase and Higgins stay available, and the rest of the roster gives him enough support, Cincinnati has every reason to believe it can get back into the AFC championship conversation.

That is the drama in the jungle. The Bengals do not need to discover whether Joe Burrow is good enough. They already know the answer. They need to find out whether they can keep their franchise quarterback healthy, give him the help he needs and avoid wasting another season of one of the NFL's most dangerous passing attacks.

The talent is there. The weapons are there. The expectations are there. Now Burrow has to stay on the field and lead Cincinnati back to prominence.
